This night at Elastic Arts was collaborative event focusing on total electronic immersion.
Chicago-based DJ QTC selected ambient vinyl cuts to accompany a trio of live instruments played through effects pedals: D. Jean-Baptiste on violin, Chaepter on cello, and Seth Andrew on trumpet. Using the 16-channel CLEAT system, Dante Ammons mixed the audio from all four musicians to send around the space, creating a live spatial sound experience.
Transitioning into dance music, QTC and D BARS spun minimalist techno on vinyl face-to-face as their outputs were mixed on the CLEAT.
DJ Madeline closed the night with a set of raw, sensual, hypnotic house and techno.
